Parent Workshops
Parent Workshops are developed to provide parent(s)/guardian(s) the opportunity to be introduced to the available services and programs offered at Little Treasures and better understand which are best in developing their child's academic learning, behavioural skills and social interactions. It is important to understand that children with disabilities may not be able to communicate their needs or express how they are feeling. We provide the appropriate training for parent(s)/guardian(s) to understand the signs when their child is having a difficult time expressing their mental or physical emotions or displaying inappropriate behaviour. Parent(s)/guardian(s) have access to a wide variety of resources and tools to advocate for their children when they are in distress. With our extensive services and programs, Little Treasures also understands the importance of reinforcing classroom learning both at home and in social settings. We work collaboratively with the parent(s)/guardian(s) to develop behavioural and learning tools & resources you can use in everyday situations.
We also encourage family members of our students to participate in our many support groups and workshops.
